Biography
June 2001: Graduated from the Faculty of Law at Lomonosov Moscow State University (MSU).
2005: Defended his PhD thesis on “Legal Problems of Insolvency Management” at the Department of Civil Law, Faculty of Law, Lomonosov Moscow State University. In November 2005, he was awarded the degree of Candidate of Legal Sciences (PhD in Law).
1998–2001: EDAS Consulting Law Firm LLC (later EDAS Law Office).
November 2001: Admitted to the Bar.
2001 – May 2024: Managing Partner at Bartolius Law Firm.
June 2024 – May 2025: Senior Partner at Bartolius Law Firm.
He was elected three times as a member of the Council of the Moscow Bar Association: 2015–2017, 2017–2019, and 2021–2023.
2005–2013: Taught at the Russian Academy of Justice (now the Russian State University of Justice).
2013 – September 2019: Taught the course “Civil Procedure and Commercial Arbitration in Russia” at the Department of International Private and Civil Law at MGIMO University.
Since September 2017: Lecturer at the Higher School of Economics (HSE University); taught a number of courses at the Department of Practical Jurisprudence until 2019.
2020–2023: Professor at the Department of Judicial Systems and Criminal Law at HSE University. Head of the Academic Council for the Master’s program “Lawyer in Civil and Criminal Cases.”
Member of the Board of the International Union (Commonwealth) of Lawyers.
2011–2017: Arbitrator at the Gazprom Arbitration Court.
Arbitrator of the Russian Arbitration Center at the Russian Institute of Modern Arbitration.
Member of the Association of Antitrust Experts.
Member of the Board of the WIND Endowment Fund (“Doctors, Innovations, Science for Children”) at the Dmitry Rogachev Federal Scientific and Clinical Center.
Member of the Board of Trustees of the “HELP” Foundation supporting the elderly.
Lecturer at the “M-Logos” Legal Institute.
Member of the Editorial Board of the journal “Bulletin of Civil Procedure”; member of the Board of Trustees of the Russian Law Journal (RLJ).
Author of 18 books and collective monographs (co-authored) and 108 scientific articles.
